Castor / Coalesce

Bring the documentation your team curated in Castor (now Coalesce Catalog) next to the facts Nistor observes. Castor connects through the Catalog plugin of Nistor Enterprise, and what it brings in lands in the Catalog.

What Nistor collects

With Catalog (Enterprise):

• Descriptions, tags and glossary terms for tables and columns.
• Owners of each asset.
• Usage: which dashboards read which tables.

Nistor only reads from Castor; it never writes back. On Open Source alone, the connector holds the connection and can test it, but brings nothing in.

Set it up

This integration is in beta and needs the Catalog plugin. You can create and test a connection in Nistor, but ingestion still reads the deployment's CASTOR_* settings today. The README in the repository describes both.
