Nistor Open Source

The operator console, free and yours to run.

Lineage, event-driven scheduling, incidents and data trust, in one graph. Apache 2.0, run in your own project, with most integrations included.

docker compose upSeeded 35-day estate · source opening soon on GitLab

Everything to operate

The graph, scheduling, incidents, contracts and most integrations. Not a trial, no seat limit.

Runs in your own cloud

Today on Google Cloud: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Pub/Sub in your own project, deployed with the Terraform in the repository. Installing on AWS and Azure is coming soon.

Built in the open

The source opens on GitLab soon, under Apache 2.0: read the code, open an issue, send a merge request.

What's included

The whole operator console, not a teaser.

See

Column-level lineage

Built from audit logs and SQL, with a confidence score per edge and the blast radius before you merge.

Act

Event-driven scheduler

Rules that run when the data is ready, with debounce, cost gates and Rule Lab replay. Rules live in git.

Fix

Incidents and probable cause

Failures grouped into incidents, a scored cause from runs, deploys and schema changes, and audited undo.

Trust

Contracts, SLOs, status page

Freshness and schema promises your consumers can check (volume and quality with Data quality), with ODCS import and export.

Connect

Most integrations

Google Cloud, GitLab, Google Workspace, MicroStrategy and ODCS, with AWS and Azure planned. Sifflet and Castor work through Enterprise. Build your own with the tool template and conformance kit.

Surfaces

Where you already work

The CLI, a read-only MCP server with 15 tools (more with Enterprise) and VS Code. The Chrome extension for the GCP console works through Enterprise.

Run it

On your laptop first. In your own cloud when you're ready.

1 · On your laptop
  1. Get the source: it opens on GitLab soon.
  2. cd nistor && docker compose up
  3. Open localhost:8080: a seeded 35-day estate with 216 runs and 6 incidents.
2 · In your Google Cloud project

Deploy with the Terraform modules in the repository: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Pub/Sub, under your own IAM.

Installing on AWS and Azure is coming soon.

The deployment guide comes with the docs, soon.
